Land Biomes

A biome is a large geographical area of distinctive plant and animal groups, which are adapted to that particular environment. Biomes are grouped into six major types. The six major types are freshwater, marine, desert, forest, grassland, and tundra. You might find a tropical forest near the equator. A desert usually gets rain less than 10cm per year.
